About Me

Thanks for stopping by my website! Here's a little bit about myself and what I've been working on.

Originally an aerospace engineering major, I switched to software engineering after I immediately fell in love with programming and knew I wanted to pursue a career in technology.

Throughout school, I had a few opportunities to intern at some awesome companies and decided to pivot my career towards the direction of program management after I discovered I loved the process of being able to plan and execute projects while working with a ton of different people and building relationships.

My current work resides at Google, where I've been able to combine my passion for program management and love for technology into an opportunity as a technical program manager on Google's Payments Privacy & Security team. I'm super excited to be bringing my innovative perspective of program management to the team and make a lasting impact on Google's Privacy ecosystem.

Education

2015-2020

Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering

San Jose State University

San Jose State offers a unique software engineering program to students that combines courses from both computer engineering and computer science to provide knowledge in hardware and programming. During my time in the SWE program, some of my coursework included: data structures & algorithms, computer networking, computer architecture, database management systems, and server side web programming. I am also an alumni brother of the business fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi.

Experience

May 2020

Technical Program Manager

Google

Google Payments Privacy & Security

Working on privacy and security projects related to large scale integration initiatives, risk management, data deletion verification, security testing, analytics, and more.

May 2019 - August 2019

Technical Program Manager Intern

Google

During my internship at Google, I had the opportunity to join an amazing privacy team to improve their infrastructure efforts and engineering velocity. As a TPM intern, I came in and redefined an extremely manual registration process by ushering a software product throughout the entire SDLC to automate this pipeline and launched the product out to users in my last week.

January 2019 - April 2019

Technology Program Manager Intern

Equinix

From January to May, I worked cross functionally with Equinix teams in Brazil and California to manage the continuos timeline of the acquisition of a data center in Brazil. My work revolved around leading stand up meetings, tracking down PM resources, ensuring action items were met, analyzing risks/tradeoffs in the program timeline, and presenting status updates to senior IT leadership.

September 2018 - December 2018

Technology Project Management Intern

Equinix

My first ever exposure to project management, this is arguably what made me decide to pivot my career towards the direction of being a PM: I loved the process of being able to turn business requirements into working process solutions and manage the execution process. Throughout the internship, I worked cross functionally with Equinix PM leads to gather requirements and create program timelines.

June 2018 - September 2018

Robotic Process Automation Developer Intern

Equinix

I started my professional career off in Equinix's RPA team, using my programming knowledge to automate several large scale enterprise projects including the Oracle Siebel CRM as well as launched into production a major finance automation project, saving hundreds of man hours.

Skills

Feel free to check out some of the past projects I've done using each programming language - clicking the link from each skill name!

PYTHON

My favorite programming language of all time, I learned Python during my internship at Google and have since used in projects involving automation, machine learning, and web scraping.

JAVA

Java was my first exposure to computer science and object oriented programming. From learning basic for loops to dependency injections, java has played a key role in a ton of great projects.

SQL

As a program manager you need your metrics - SQL allows me to do fast and complex data analysis to track my project's success. From joins to sql injections, SQL also plays a consistent role in dashboards.

JAVASCRIPT

I started learning Javascript in my server side web programming course and since then have been able to create interactive web applications combined with HTML to produce stunning websites.

PHP

Although a bit old, PHP is an awesome server side scripting language that I've used to create dynamic web pages that have integrated MySQL, file handling, and security protocols in simple but efficient web design.

GO

Go is an open source programming language that makes it easy to build simple, reliable, and efficient software. I am currently learning Go to develop projects such as mobile/web applications and microservices.

What I like to do for fun

Here are some activities you can catch me doing in my free time

Powerlifting & Fitness

As an avid gym goer, when I'm not in front of my computer you can most likely find me at the gym under a squat rack or at a bench press. I started lifting weights when I entered college and throughout, was an active member of the school's powerlifting team, serving as the team's President for a full year. My best lifts to date are: squat: 435, bench: 265, deadlift: 550.

Music

Playing music has always been and will continue to be an essential part of my life as it is one of favorite downtime activities to relax. I started learning music in elementary school, taking lessons on the saxophone, and gradually was able to teach myself guitar and piano, both of which I enjoy playing today. Fun fact: I was in a rock band for 2 years.

Travel

Traveling has given me the spirit of adventure and allowed me to meet some of the most extraordinary people from cultures around the world. From backpacking throughout the UK, to hiking in jungles of Thailand, to the beaches of Hawaii, each destination has provided me with everlasting memories. Next stops on my list include: the Mediterranean and Asia.
